Mobilize launches, in Arcachon, its first car-sharing service under the brand 'Mobilize Share' in France.
Starting on 1st October 2021, four Dacia Spring electric cars will be available 24/7 at strategic locations throughout Arcachon, each with its own ‘Mobilize Share’ parking space and charging point.
All-electric, compact (3.73m), and robust, Dacia Spring is perfectly suited to urban and peri-urban car-sharing services with its 4 seats, 290 litre boot, and a range of 230 km WLTP* (305 km WLTP city).
The rental journey is 100% digital, from sign-up to reservation. Simply download the ‘Mobilize Share’ mobile app and follow the easy steps. Registration is free and takes only about ten minutes. Registered users will then be able to see if a car is available, check its battery level and reserve it. Once the vehicle has been booked, the mobile app is used to carry out the initial vehicle check, as well as to unlock and start the car.
This new car-sharing service proposed to the inhabitants of Arcachon is fully in line with a sustainable mobility, in order to to accompany and efficiently modify our daily travel habits to preserve our privileged territory and make the city more pleasant, stated Yves Foulon, Mayor of Arcachon.
Mobilize offers flexible mobility services that are adapted to the specificities of each city. Electric car-sharing responds to the changing expectations from customers, businesses, and municipalities that wish to adopt more sustainable and shared forms of mobility. We are therefore proud to launch, in Arcachon and with the Renault-Dacia Côte d’Argent dealership, our first all-electric car-sharing service branded ‘Mobilize Share’ in France, says Anne-Lise Castel, Director of Mobility Services, Mobilize.
Vehicles located at strategic locations throughout the town and access to the entire Izivia network
The 100% electric car-sharing service ‘Mobilize Share’ proposed in Arcachon is said to be in “closed loop”. This requires returning the vehicle to the same station where it was picked up, which has the advantage of always finding a parking space et the end of the journey.
During low season, four Dacia Spring will be available at in three car parks located in the township:
- Train Station (41, Avenue du Général de Gaulle), two dedicated parking spaces
- Mouleau (235, Boulevard de la Côte d'Argent), one dedicated parking space
- Aiguillon (4, Rue de la Pêcherie), one dedicated parking space
During high season (Spring 2022), two more Dacia Spring will be added the fleet:
- Aiguillon (4, Rue de la Pêcherie), one additional dedicated parking space
- Pereire (2, avenue du Parc Pereire), one dedicated parking space
The charging stations dedicated to the service will be easily identifiable thanks to the ‘Mobilize Share’ livery. And, should users require and as vehicles can be booked by the hour, day or weekend, a dedicated charging Pass located in each Dacia Spring can be used to access the entire Izivia network during the rental period.
The expertise of the Renault network
The ‘Mobilize Share’ car-sharing service will be operated by the Renault-Dacia Côte d’Argent dealership in La Teste-de-Buch.
Vehicle maintenance and repairs will be carried out by the dealership’s team, who will also ensure that each Dacia Spring is always fully charged. Particular attention will be paid to vehicle cleanliness both inside and out, especially in light of the current health context.
